Nearly all waste water treatment techniques lead to the formation of sewage sludge. This sludge needs to be safely treated on-site or forwarded to disposal with different options of secondary use. This guide presents sewage sludge treatment and recycling options – beginning from the stabilisation of the sludge up to the wider spectrum of options for its utilisation.

Operators of waste water treatment plants have to make decisions on the economical and environmentally safe management of the generated sewage sludge.

Общая цель проекта по дельте Дуная - улучшить сотрудничество между национальными учреждениями и промышленными операторами Республики Молдова, Румынии и Украины в регионе дельты Дуная за счет улучшения и - по возможности - гармонизации механизмов и подходов для эффективного и результативного контроля опасности и кризисного управления.

The general objective of the Danube Delta project was to improve the cooperation between the national authorities and industrial operators of the Republic of Moldova, Romania and Ukraine in the Danube Delta region through enhancing, and where possible harmonizing, the mechanisms and approaches for efficient and effective hazard and crisis management.

Das Ziel des „Donaudelta-Projektes“ war es, in der Republik Moldau, in Rumänien und der Ukraine die Zusammenarbeit zwischen den nationalen Behörden und der Industrie am Donaudelta zu stärken, wobei unter anderem die Mechanismen und Ansätze für eine effiziente und effektive Störfallvorsorge sowie das Krisenmanagement verbessert und, soweit möglich, harmonisiert werden sollten.

Ziel des PROMETHEUS-Projektes ist es, ein Konzept für ein Programm zur Priorisierung von Substanzen innerhalb des PBT-Assessments zu entwickeln.

Die Bundesregierung hat sich das Ziel gesetzt, bis zum Jahr 2020 einen Massenmarkt für Elektrofahrzeuge zu schaffen. Zur Umwelt- und Ressourcenbewertung der verschiedenen Konzepte sind Analysen notwendig, die den gesamten Lebensweg eines Fahrzeugs betrachten.

The aim of the project was to overcome the problems in the implementation of the UNECE Safety Guidelines for tailings management facilities and to thus permanently reduce the risk posed by these facilities. The practicality of the project outcomes, a Checklist and a Tailings Hazard Index (THI) was successfully tested at two Ukrainian facilities.

Ziel dieses Papiers ist es, konkrete Vorschläge und aus Sicht des Umweltbundesamtes notwendige Schritte für eine nachhaltige und ambitionierte Ausgestaltung in den Prozess zur Erstellung des Klimaschutzplanes 2050 der Bundesregierung einzuspeisen.

In dieser Arbeit wird der Einfluss von sogenanntem stratosphärischen Geoengineering auf die Ozonschicht der Stratosphäre mit globalen Zirkulationsmodellen untersucht. Stratosphärisches Geoengineering soll einen globalen Abkühlungseffekt erzeugen, welcher der globalen Erwärmung entgegenwirken soll.
