    FW-R-2: Conservation of forest-genetic resources

The bar chart FW-R-2 ‘Conservation of forest-genetic resources’ indicates the terrain of stands dedicated to the purpose of genetic conservation on the natural site (in-situ) of the occurrence of species and of stands and seed plantations cultivated for the purpose of genetic conservation outside their natural occurrence (ex-situ) in the years of 2004, 2010, 2012, 2017 and 2022 respectively. In the period of 2004 to 2010, the total terrain of in-situ stands increased to roughly 32,000 hectares.

VE-I-3: Heavy rain impacting on roads

The illustration VE-I-3 ’Heavy rain impacting on roads’ shows stacked columns describing the percentage of the section length of federal trunk roads subjected to an exceedance of heavy rain at warning level 3 (tempest). Five categories are illustrated for the impacts, according to the number of hours concerned. 1 to 3 hours, more than 3 to 6 hours, more than 6 to 12 hours, more than 12 to 24 hours, and more than 24 hours. WW-I-6: Low water

The bar chart WW-I-6 ‘Low water* shows – for the years of 1961 to 2021 – the number of low-water days in the water-balance related winter half-year (1st October of the previous year to 31st March) and in the water-balance related summer half-year (1st April to 30th September) respectively, prevailing in Germany’s river basins. The structure of the indicator is characterised by individual pronounced low-water events which occurred latterly in the period from 2018 to 2020.
