Although the activities of our Central Office Division mainly center around services for the UBA itself, the Division’s citizen´s service unit and environmental library have a great deal to offer the general public as well.
Dr Lilian Busse was appointed Vice President of the German Environment Agency (UEBA) on 27 September 2021 by Jochen Flasbarth, State Secretary at the Federal Environment Ministry.
We feel that it is essential that we at the UBA set a good example when it comes to environmental protection. And so we have set ourselves the goal of ensuring that we as an institution adhere to our own environmental guidelines, ranging from using recycled paper for office printers to building energy saving office buildings.

"For our environment″ is the UBA's motto and sums up what we are there for. As Germany's main environmental protection agency, we ensure that there is a healthy environment in Germany in which people can live as far as possible protected from harmful environmental impacts.
