A graph shows the global environmental footprint of household consumption, represented by the indicator’s energy consumption, CO₂ emissions and raw material use. The indicators show the environmental footprint generated by the consumption activities of private households in Germany and abroad.

A graph shows the percentage of the population actively involved in environmental protection and nature conservation or who could imagine becoming involved. In 2024 only the current involvement was surveyed (same as in 2022 and 2020) which was at 15 percent.

The illustration TOU-I-1 ’Coastal bathing temperatures’ contains a line chart showing the duration of water temperatures in excess of 15 degrees Celsius in terms of the number of days, differentiated for the North Sea and the Baltic Sea for the period from 1992 and 1989 to 2021 respectively. There is a significantly rising trend in both cases.

A graph shows the market shares of products with official eco-labelling. Between 2012 and 2022 this figure rose from 3.6 % to 12.2 %. In 2020 there was a significant increase from 7.9 % to 12.0 %. The target for 2030 is 34 % market share.

The diagram shows the development of raw material consumption (RMC) in Germany by raw material group between 2008 and 2020. In the four raw material groups, the consumption of metal ores increases by 12%, biomass consumption decreases by 6%, the consumption of fossil fuels decreases by 14% and that of non-metallic minerals increases by 0.5%.

The indexed number of overnight stays in winter sports resorts in the winter half-year is shown by lines. The values are set to 100 for the winter of 1991/92. The time series extends to 2017/2018. For the Black Forest and the Alps there is a quadratically increasing trend, for the eastern and the western and central low mountain ranges there is no trend. The Skier Days, which are shown from 2010/11 to 2017/18, also show no trend.
