Implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions
The study analyses the country background, emissions trends, ongoing activities and barriers relating to the implementation of the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) of Morocco under the UNFCCC. A special emphasis is laid on further mitigation potentials in the fields of urban environment, the mineral sector and the transport sector.
Implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions
The study analyses the country background, emissions trends, ongoing activities and barriers relating to the implementation of the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) of the Islamic Republic of Iran under the UNFCCC.
Implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions
The study analyses the country background, emissions trends, ongoing activities and barriers relating to the implementation of the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) of Ethiopia under the UNFCCC. A special emphasis is laid on further mitigation potentials in the fields of agriculture, forestry and low-emission transport.
The Use of Natural Resources: Report for Germany 2018
In 2012, Germany made a commitment to the conservation of natural resources through the Resource Efficiency Programme (ProgRess). Six years after its adoption, where do we find ourselves in Germany today?
Toxicological basic data for the derivation of EU-LCI values for 5 substances from building products
The subject of this project was the preparation of substance reports for the following substances: 2-phenylpropene (CAS No. 98-83-9), vinyl toluene (mixture of o-, m-, p- and isomers) (CAS No. 611-15- 4, 100-80-1, 622-97-9, 25013-15-4), n-heptane (CAS No. 142-82-5), hexylene glycol (CAS No. 107-41-5) and tripropylene glycol monomethyl ether (CAS No. 20324-33-8, 25498-49-1).
Blue Angel - 40 years. Good for me. Good for the environment.
In this anniversary booklet, we give you a glimpse behind the scenes: how everything began in the 1970s, when spray cans still contained CFC and the Club of Rome made the world aware of the “limits to growth“. What’s more, discover how we are shaping the environmental label to be future-proof and how we have our sights set on the next generation.
REACH Compliance: Data availability in REACH registrations Part 2: Evaluation of data waiving and adaptations for chemicals ≥ 1000 tpa
The standard information requirements necessary for the registration and their adaptation options for high tonnage substances are specified in the REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006. The report presents findings and results from the examination of 1814 dossiers of lead and individual registrants covering phase-in substances with a production volume of ≥ 1000 tpa.
Recommendations for registrants to improve data quality in registration dossiers for chemicals ≥ 1000 tpa
The standard information requirements necessary for the registration and their adaptation options for high tonnage substances are specified in the REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006. Based on the outcome of the REACH Compliance project, it is recommended that registrants scrutinize whether an update of their registration dossier is necessary to meet the information requirements.
A blind spot in the assessment of POP/PBT/vPvB properties
This paper relates to the assessment of transformation products (i.e. metabolites, degradation or reaction products), which are formed from plant protection products. It addresses a detail in Regulation (EC) No. 1107/2009 which is not in line with other substance regulations for REACH, medicinal products, and biocides.
Substitution of critical biocidal active substances under European law - Development of a comparative assessment concept for the environment
Authorisation of biocidal products in the European Union is a two-stage process, where the biocidal active substances are approved in a first step at the European level, and the biocidal products are authorised in a second step at member state level.
Health Effects of Ultrafine Particles
Ultrafine particles represent the smallest size fractions of particles with sizes from one to about 100 nanometers in aerodynamic diameter . Thus, their specific health effects are related to their physical capacity to reach diverse organ systems.
Strategy for long-term EU greenhouse gas emissions reductions
The EU’s current 80-95% emissions reduction objective for 2050 laid down in the Low-Carbon-2050 Roadmap is an outdated target range and even more problematic, EU’s legally binding 2030 climate policy framework is rated to be far from being sufficient to bring the EU on track with the long-term temperature targets of the Paris Agreement.
