Certain chemical substances are harmful to man and the environment. As part of the “AskREACH” EU LIFE project, staff in companies which produce or sell consumer products are able to partake in an online survey on “Substances of Very High Concern” in manufactured products until 30 September 2018. The results will be incorporated in the development of a Europe wide database and app.

Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) may be carcinogenic, endocrine-disrupting or are considered an environmental health risk. The EU LIFE project AskREACH is raising awareness among Europe's people, trade and industry about the presence of SVHC in articles.

The project is carrying out a survey. Consumers could take part until 31 July 2018. The questionnaire for staff in companies which produce or sell the consumer goods will be online until 30 September 2018. The questionnaires are anonymous. To determine the status quo at the beginning of the project participants are asked to answer the questions first before getting any information about the project. More detailed information about AskREACH is available by clicking on the links at the end of the questionnaire. The results of the survey will be incorporated into the development of a European database on SVHC and a smartphone app.
