The mantle of air around our planet is composed of different gases. Man-made emissions of greenhouse gases such as CO2 or methane are changing the atmospheric balance. Climate change is the result, and the Earth is literally warming up – with far-reaching consequences for man and the environment. This is known as the greenhouse effect.
The video shows which gases are chiefly responsible for man-made emissions, which gas has the highest global warming potential, explains what a CO2 equivalent is, what the sources and volume of which gases are, and what we must do to limit global warming. Why? Because less man-made greenhouse gases means less warming.
