By law, all construction debris, contaminants and electrical and electronic devices must be disposed of properly. Failure to do so entails a major threat to your own health and to the environment.
In Germany, the system whereby private citizens can take their electrical and electronic devices to municipal collection points free of charge has been reinstated. Organic waste should be composted whenever doing so is structurally feasible.
The UBA’s motto, For our environment (“Für Mensch und Umwelt”), sums up our mission pretty well, we feel. In this video we give an insight into our work.
