The second PMT Workshop entitled "PMT and vPvM substances under REACH. Voluntary measures and regulatory options to protect the sources of drinking water" took place on the 13th-14th of March 2018 in Berlin. It was organized by UBA and the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI). Over 100 experts from 15 nations representing the water suppliers, chemical industry, academia and regulators attended. read more

The final PMT and vPvM criteria are the result of several public consultations and the scientific and technical development under REACH. Over 100 scientists and institutions contributed with thorough scientific and technical comments. The following criteria were presented at the 30th Caracal meeting (01 - 02 July 2019) and are also published in UBA TEXTE 127/2019 (Neumann and Schliebner, 2019). read more

Between 2016 and 2019, the UBA carried out several public consultations to ensure a wide agreement on the PMT/vPvM criteria. This led to the publication of the result of the scientific and technical development of PMT/vPvM criteria and guidelines for their assessment under REACH, which were unveiled at the 30th Caracal meeting in 2019 (Doc.
