Installation of AUSTAL

1. Create a directory into which AUSTAL will be installed. 
The directory name is arbitrary, in the following it is refered 
to as <ast>.

2. Download from the web site of the German Federal Environment 
Agency (UBA) the following archives and copy them into directory 
<ast>:

ast-<vers>-programs-<sys>_en.zip programs
ast-<vers>-examples_en.zip       example runs (optional)

An english version of the program manual is pending

<vers> denotes the version number to which the package refers 
and <sys> the operating system on which the programs can be 
executed ("windows" or "linux").

There are more data provided on the web site for download.

3. Extract the packages to directory <ast>, preserving the path 
information.

This completes the installation. No changes are made to the 
system or its registry. To deinstall the program system, simply 
delete directory <ast>.

Check sums

The log file austal.log lists the check sums of the applied 
programs. This allows to uniquely identify which programs have 
been used.
